Bee Pollen

There are a few in vitro and animal studies suggesting that Bee Pollen may protect against some forms of radiation damage, that it may have immunomodulating effects, and that it may be beneficial in pregnancy.

Individuals that are allergic or hypersensitive to Bee Pollen can develop symptoms, including pruritis, rhinitis, conjunctivitis and bronchospasm and urticaria and anaphylaxis (in some cases). Two cases of hepatitis have been reported after ingestion of Bee Pollen for several weeks. Hypereosinophilia, neurologic symptoms, and gastrointestinal symptoms have also been reported following the ingestion of Bee Pollen.
