There are no indications for using supplemental Bromine (Bromide).


Supplemental Bromide is not recommended for anyone given our present state of knowledge regarding Bromine. Use of potassium bromide as a sedative drug might give rise to Bromide intoxication. Symptoms include ataxia, coma, delirium, drowsiness, hallucinations, irritability, mania, memory impairment, nausea, psychoses, slurred speech, stupor, tremors, and vomiting. Skin rashes of various types might occur, and toxic epidermal necrolysis has been reported. This website is intended to educate and inform, and should not replace discussions with your doctor.
