Chlorella
|
| |
| In animal experiments, a Chlorella extract has shown antitumor and antimetastatic effects.
Chlorella has also demonstrated some experimental antiatherogenic activity and some
radio- protective and chemo-detoxifying effects. It has shown some benefit in immune
function and in some individuals with fibromyalgia. |
|
| Nursing mothers and women who are pregnant should avoid supplements that contain Chlorella.
Some Chlorella-containing supplements might be rich in vitamin K. Individuals on warfarin
should be cautious in the use of Chlorella supplements. Allergic reactions have been
reported in some individuals using Chlorella supplements. Individuals with allergic
diatheses should apply caution in the use of Chlorella supplements. Animal studies suggest
that certain substances in Chlorella might ameliorate some of the side effects of
5-fluorouracil but there is no documentation of this in people. This website is intended
