Chrysin

Chrysin might be helpful as an anxiolytic agent. It may also help in the control of morphine withdrawl and have some chemopreventive properties in cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Adolescents, children, nursing mothers, and women who are pregnant should avoid using Chrysin. In general, women should avoid its use. Hormonal manipulation might have unforeseen consequences. Individuals interested in Chrysin supplementation should apply caution in its use. Women with hormone dependent malignancies (breast, ovarian, uterine) should only use Chrysin if they are in a clinical study or if Chrysin is prescribed and monitored by their physicians. Chrysin might be addictive to the effects of such aromatase inhibitors as aminoglutethimide, anastrozole and letrozole.
