Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

In vivo animal work and in vitro studies suggest that indications might emerge for the use of Conjugated Linoleic Acid in the management and prevention of various cancers, cardiovascular disease, hypercholesterolemia, triglyceridemia, and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Conjugated Linoleic Acid might also reduce body fat and promote lean body mass under certain conditions.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid supplements should be avoided by children, nursing mothers, and women who are pregnant due to a lack of long-term safety data. At doses of up to 2 grams daily, occasional gastrointestinal complaints have been reported. This website is intended to educate and inform, and should not replace discussions with your doctor.
