Dimethylglycine (DMG)

DMG might be indicated as an immune enhancer or in the management of autism but it is still too early to say. It isn't indicated as an anticonvulsant, in epilepsy, or for any condition characterized by seizures. It also isn't indicated as an athletic-performance enhancer or energy booster.

DMG is not advised for nursing mothers or women who are pregnant and should only be used in children under medical supervision. Individuals with dimethylglycine dehydrogenase deficiency might complain of a fish odor when using DMG supplements. There have been no other significant adverse reactions that have been reported with DMG. There are no known drug, food, herb, or nutritional supplement interactions. This website is intended to educate and inform, and should not replace discussions with your doctor.
