Human Growth Hormone and Secretagogues
|
| |
| There are no indications for the non-pharmaceutical use of Human Growth Hormone. Injected
Human Growth Hormone might reduce fat and increase lean body mass in some people, but
possibly with serious side effects. Injected Human Growth Hormone might be beneficial in
some individuals with Crohn's disease and in treating dilated cardiomyopathy. High doses of
Human Growth Hormone may actually promote some cancers. Claims that Human Growth Hormone is
an anti-aging substance, that it enhances athletic and sexual performance, that it has
antidiabetic and antiatherosclerotic effects, that it promotes joint health, is a sleep aid
and an immune enhancer, and is a neuroprotector, are not supported. |
|
| Adolescents, nursing mothers, and women who are pregnant should avoid using Human Growth
Hormone containing supplements. Individuals with diabetes should avoid supplemental Human
Growth Hormone use. Oral forms of Human Growth Hormone should never be used parenterally.
